WHAT SIZE IS YAMANTO CENTRAL SHOPPING CENTRE?
Yamanto Central is a 20,000m2 sub-regional shopping centre, Stage 1 of the 25 hectare Yamanto Town Centre masterplan.

 

WHAT RETAIL BRANDS WILL BE PART OF YAMANTO CENTRAL?
Anchored Coles and Kmart the retail level of Yamanto Central shopping centre will have approximately 50 specialty stores featuring Market Central (fresh food precinct) and Central Eats (indoor/outdoor casual dining).

 

ARE THERE OTHER USAGES AT THE YAMANTO CENTRAL?
Yes.  The main retail level will be located on ground level. Rackley Swimming, will have a learn-to-swim facility located in the basement level of the centre.

Level 1 is a dedicated medical and healthcare precinct, including a medical centre and pathology.

 

WHO IS BUILDING YAMANTO CENTRAL SHOPPING CENTRE?
Yamanto Central is the newest asset within the JMK Retail portfolio, our development team is lead by DMA Partners acting as our development partner with Buchan architects heading the design team and after a competitive tender process, Mainbrace Constructions has been appointed to build the new shopping centre.

 

WHEN WILL CONSTRUCTION COMMENCE?
Construction commenced in Spring 2019.  During the month of September construction fencing was installed as the builder, Mainbrace Constructions, prepared the site for works to commence. In October site sheds will be erected, earth moving equipment arrived and clearing commenced.  The official soil turning ceremony was held on site with key project partners in mid November 2019.  Foundations are set to be poured early 2020.  All of these activities are subject to weather conditions.

 

HOW LONG WILL THE DEVELOPMENT TAKE TO COMPLETE?
Yamanto Central shopping centre is Stage 1 of the 25 hectare Yamanto Town Centre masterplan. Construction of the shopping centre is expected to take approximately 18 months, with the centre anticipated to be complete and open for trade early 2021. These dates are subject to potential delays such as wet weather and latent ground conditions on the site.

 

HOW MUCH WILL THE DEVELOPMENT COST?
The total project will cost the owner and developer over $100m.

 

WILL THE DEVELOPMENT BRING ABOUT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES?
It is estimated that the development will generate upwards of 600 jobs during construction and over 500 new retail and management positions once the project is complete and trading.
